The Ranger RCI-2950DX was the first 11 meter radio I purchased and I have been very happy with it. It's a well built and easy to use radio and most other 2950DX owners praise these machines. Using SSB the 2950DX will push out 25 watts while on FM/AM she pushes out 10 watts. My Ranger 2950DX has been "pre tuned" and covers 24 - 32 Mhz.

The Superstar 3900 has been around for many years in some form or another. This is one of the simplest 11 meter radio's on the market, it's also one of the cheapest. It has no frequency display which is a problem however you can use a frequency counter which is just as good. The SS3900 pushes out 18 watts on SSB and 8 watts on FM/AM and covers from 25.6 up to 28.3 Mhz.

The Intek H-520 PLUS is without question the best handheld CB radio currently available on the UK market. This radio covers from 25.615 all the way up to 30.105 without any gaps, puts many FM mobile transceivers to shame. I very nice radio to use and the audio quality is superb. I have owned the Maycom AH-27 which is a good radio however the Intek H-520 is in another league.

The Hy-Gain 2795 is a 120 channel all mode transceiver from the eighties, this one is still going strong today although i rarely use it. I bought this radio at a car boot sale for £10, the seller knew nothing about it's history, in fact he was not even sure if it still worked. Once I got it home I fired her up expecting the worsted but no, she works fine. On a good day it can push out around 10W watts on SSB and 8W on AM but for some reason on FM this radio puts out 15W, clearly someone has altered the rig at some point.
